Mick Pearce - Training and Development Manager
 Mick Pearce has worked
in the building services industry for many years covering jobs ranging from a heating
engineer to managing a heating design team. He has spent the majority of his career
working for British Telecom where he also worked as a management tutor and supply
chain sales manager.
He joined Uponor Housing Solutions as a regional sales manager in the summer of
2002. His previous experience is now proving invaluable in his new role as Training
& Development Manager where he is responsible for all external and internal
training offerings.
Martin Allen - Trainer
 I have worked within the "Plumbing
and Heating" industry all of my working life (24 yrs). Initially as a British Gas
Service engineer I installed and maintained all types of gas appliances including
Central heating installation. I then moved across to "Transco" as an Emergency gas
engineer. Within both roles I was continually involved within the training of engineers
as a regional key trainer for new products and services.
In 2003 became the Branch Manager of a National Plumbing and Heating Merchant.
After attending an Installer course in October 2006 I saw fantastic products that
Uponor can offer that work with existing and new technologies.
I joined the Team in January 2006.
Sandra Balderson – Academy Manager
Sandra has been with the Training Academy from inception and played a major role
in setting up the Academy and its administrative functions. Her career background
is mainly in service industries, including insurance, distribution, engineering
and new house building. As Academy Manager, she looks after the well-being of delegates
attending the various installer courses.
Her position involves being the first contact a potential delegate has with the
Uponor Academy and offering advice regarding Uponor installer courses, aiming to
ensure that our delegates have all the information they need to attend our courses
and enjoy their time with us at the Academy, providing the complete UFH learning
experience.
