Recommended as a follow-up to the UFH & Plumbing Installer course, this 1-day course is aimed
at experienced installers and gives a basic understanding of system requirements
from a design viewpoint.
The course will cover:
- Calculating a worked example of UFH
- Controls and flow rates
- Designing a UFH System
- Looking at new tools/products
Controls Wiring

Uponor have recently launched a range of innovative water temperature and air
temperature controls. As a consequence, we are now offering an informative 1-day
course aimed at installers and electricians, who wish to increase their product
knowledge with respect to Uponor control systems.
The course will cover:
- Uponor UFH water temperature controls – including fixed
and variable water temperature controls plus weather compensation.
- Uponor air temperature controls – wireless and hard wired systems including
set-back/economy functions.
- Connecting and wiring of the above controls, including mechanical connections,
plumbing considerations and wiring options.
- Fault finding – identifying and correcting common mechanical and wiring errors.
Plumbing Applications

The course is aimed at experienced plumbers who would know how to connect up to
a manifold and is designed to enable installers to use Uponor products in place
of other traditional materials, such as copper or, conventional plastics. This
will include piping primary pipe work such as towel rails, cylinders etc and
also manifold plumbing. There will be opportunity to practice all of the above
techniques in a safe environment, in our specially fitted out practical area.
